An Austin man was arrested Saturday night after allegedly slashing one man with a knife and breaking another man’s thumb.
The 28-year-old suspect has not been formally charged.
The incident occurred at a house on the 300 block of 18th Street Northwest at around 11 p.m.
According to a police report, another person in the home, a 25-year-old male, called police because he was scared of what the 28-year-old might do.
Earlier, the reportee was cut by a knife when he tried to stop the suspect from using it against another man. According to the report, the 28-year-old man said he was going to kill that other man with the weapon.
The suspect also allegedly said he broke the thumb of the 18-year-old man he was threatening. When police arrived, the 18-year-old was bloody and appeared to be heavily intoxicated. He refused medical attention.
A fourth man, 27, was arrested for allegedly cursing at officers and being combative while they were in the house.
