LETTER: Human society officials say thanks
Published 7:01 am Friday, February 26, 2010
The Mower County Humane Society would like to thank all who donated and supported our annual Spaghetti Dinner/Silent Auction held Feb. 14 at the Holiday Inn. With your generosity, we cleared $7,000 to be used toward our expenses in 2010. During 2009, MCHS rescued 172 cats, 142 dogs and one rabbit. Our expenses for the year were $115,000. Every penny given to our organization is returned to Mower County in the form of a rescued pet as no one at our organization receives a salary.
Special thanks to all the volunteers and individuals who helped make our dinner/auction a success. Also, thank you to our local area small businesses who really do support our community with their financial support — remember to shop here and support them first.
