An 18-year-old male was arrested Thursday for punching another student at an Austin-area boarding school.

The incident occurred at Gerard Academy, located off Interstate 90 near the Austin Country Club, at around 10:35 a.m.

According to a police report, the 18-year-old attacked a 16-year-old male. The younger student was taken to a hospital by staff for medical attention, but further details of his injuries were not provided.

The 18-year-old had not been formally charged as of Friday morning. He will likely face at least fifth-degree assault charges.
