A Grand Meadow resident reports that an old tractor was stolen from his residence sometime between Saturday night and Sunday morning.

According to a sheriff’s department report, the tractor was in an unsecured shed at the residence, located on 750th Avenue near 220th Street. The 52-year-old owner said the tractor wasn’t in-use but was still worth roughly $1,000 in parts.

Tracks from the scene show that the tractor was apparently pulled south on 750th Avenue to 220th Street, then taken another quarter-mile east. At that point, tracks disappear, meaning the tractor was likely put on a trailer, the report states.

It is unclear how the tractor was moved from the shed, and no suspects have been identified.
