Evelyn Rysavy

Evelyn Rysavy passed away quietly Monday, May 10, 2010 at Riverwood Medical Center in Aitkin, Minn.
She was born Jan. 16, 1921 in Austin, the daughter of Donald and Ida (Nelson) Moore. She graduated from Austin High School in 1938. She then attended Frank Wiggins Trade School in Los Angeles, Calif. She then worked as an airplane rivitor during WWII.
Evelyn was united in marriage to Robert W. Rysavy in Austin where they resided for 30 years. She temporarily lived in Inver Grove Heights and Bemidji, Minn., and retired in her Mille Lacs home.
Evelyn took time to watch the sunset across the lake every evening.
Evelyn is survived by her children, Cathy Rysavy-Knaus (Don) of Albert Lea, Lyn Rysavy Mitchell of South Dakota and Mark (Karen) Rysavy of Bloomington, Minn.; brother, Ralph Moore of Waterville, Minn.; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Rysavy of Austin; grandsons, Scott Tim Butt, Peter and Nic Rysavy, Derek, Michael and Jeff Rysavy. Evelyn was blessed with 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her parents; her in-laws, Frank and Helen Rysavy; brothers-in-law, Donald Rysavy, Tony Kurina; sisters-in-law, Delores Kurina, Vera Moore; and nephew, Dan Rysavy.
A memorial service was held at Aicota Health Care Center in Aitkin, Minn. A graveside service will be held at Fort Snelling Cemetery on May 27, 2010 at 11:15 a.m.
