According to a police report, the incident occurred sometime between 5 a.m. and 6 a.m. in the 500 block of Second Street Northwest. The woman said she parked her car for work at 5, then returned to the car an hour later. She found the passenger-side front window smashed out, with a full-size brick sitting on the driver’s seat.
A black leather purse, which had been underneath the driver’s seat, was missing, the report states. The purse contained cash, credit cards, a checkbook and other personal items.
