Southland had its season end when it lost at No. 4 Rushford/Peterson (11-10 overall) 4-2 in the first round of the Subsection 1A East tournament Tuesday.

The Rebels (9-12 overall) led 1-0 through four innings, but R/P tied it up in the fifth and scored three in the bottom of the sixth to take the lead for good.

Southland scored just once in the top of the seventh.

“We played very well and it was a good game,” Southland head coach Greg Schulte said. “We just came out on the wrong end of the scoreboard.”
