Accentra Credit Union hosts its annual cookout fundraiser for the Children’s Miracle Network later this week.
Hot dogs, SPAM burgers, beverages and ice cream bars will be sold from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the credit union, 400 Fourth Avenue NE.
Accentra’s vice president of marketing Darlene Thaisen said the bank has held fundraisers for the Children’s Miracle Network since 1998.
Children’s Miracle Network is a non-profit organization that raises funds for children’s hospitals, medical care, research and education to save and improve lives of children.
“It’s a fun way to raise money for them,” Thaisen said.
She hopes to raise at least $2,000 through the two-day event, and another cookout this September.
