Dale Robert Hansen, 48, of Blooming Prairie, died at Austin Medical Center Thursday morning, June 3, 2010. 
He was born July 3, 1961 to “Bud” and “Millie” Hansen in Owatonna, Minn. Dale grew up in Blooming Prairie where he graduated from high school in 1979. He attended Inver Hills Community College and graduated from Huron College in Huron, S.D. with a bachelor’s degree in business. He played football and baseball in college. He was a realtor/appraiser.  He was a member of First Baptist Church in Blooming Prairie, volunteer coach for BPHS football, charter member of the Owatonna Country Club, sponsor of Big Brothers and Big Sisters in Owatonna, an avid golfer and Vikings fan. Dale’s life was his friends and family.
Survivors include his father, Harold “Bud” Hansen of Blooming Prairie; brothers, George Hansen of Sanborn, David (Terri) Hansen of Roseville, Harlan (RaeJean) of Blooming Prairie, Harold (Jennifer) of Owatonna; sister, Heidi (Marvin) Thompson of Blooming Prairie; nieces and nephews, Heather (Adam) Kay, Dane (Stefanie), Mallory, Benjamin, Chelsie, Daniel, Creed (Marta), Seth (Kay), Shaina, Aubrey and McKenna Hansen; Amber (Nicholas) Fasching, Stephanie (Matthew) Miller, Derrick (Brittany) Thompson; best friend, Tom Vaith of Roseville. 
He was preceded in death by his mother; a brother, Greg, and his grandparents.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, June 7, at First Lutheran Church in Blooming Prairie. Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m., Sunday at First Lutheran Church.
 In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
