John Lysne

John Wayne Lysne, age 79, of Austin, Minn. died Friday, June 25, 2010 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.
John was born June 21, 1931 in Austin to John and Madelyn (Paulson) Lysne.  He graduated from Austin High School and then Dunwoody Institute.  John served in the United States Air Force and was a sheet metal worker.  On June 14, 1958 he was united in marriage to Gloria Sharrow Kinny in Austin.
John enjoyed woodworking, gardening, walking daily, watching westerns, entertaining children, socializing at McDonalds and volunteering at church.  He was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife: Gloria Lysne, Austin, Minn.; children: John M. (Vicky) Lysne, Owatonna, Minn., Tina M. Johnson, Austin, Minn.; step children: Rodney (Dee) Kinny, Austin, Minn., John (Judy) Kinny, Burnsville, Minn., Yvonne (Gary) Schmit, Austin, Minn., Randy (Lori) Kinny, Wisconsin; 15 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, brothers: Brian (Donna) Boettcher, Mankato, Minn., Gary Boettcher, Wisconsin, Mike Boettcher, Austin, Minn.; sister: Kristi (Richard) Tracy, Austin, Minn.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John Lysne and Madelyn Boettcher; brothers, David and Harlan Lysne.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, June 28, 2010 at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Ron Barnett officiating.  Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday at Mayer Funeral Home.  Military rites will be by American Legion Post #91.
The casket bearers will be John’s family.
