A local author will speak at the Hardy Geranium this Tuesday on the issue of glass ceilings for working women.

Austin author Dr. Eric Shoars wrote “Women Under Glass: The Secret Nature of Glass Ceilings and the Steps to Overcome Them,” which made No. 36 on Amazon.com’s Women In Business list six weeks in a row after its release in January.

The speech will be held Tuesday, Aug. 31, in the Hardy Geranium at 100 Fourth Street Southeast from 5 to 7 p.m.
