Delays expected on I-35

Those traveling from the Austin area north on Interstate-35 can expect delays throughout the summer.
North and south bound traffic on a two-mile area of I-35, near the south junction of Highway 14, has been condensed to single-lane traffic, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT).
MnDOT is advising motorists that backups are likely, especially during peak traffic hours.
The construction is part of a project aimed at reconstructing Highway 14 from Waseca to Owatonna, which includes a new interchange at I-35 and Highway 14.
The entire project, which began in July of 2010, is slated for completion in June 2012.
