Marcella Rose LeTendre, 87

Marcella LeTendre was born Sept. 15, 1922, in Cloque to Joseph and Olive Bro Youngbauer. The family later moved to Cass Lake where she met and married Leonard LeTendre on June 1, 1938. Following their marriage they remained in Cass Lake. In 1941, they moved to Austin and Marcella worked in retail sales while living there. In
1964, they began to spend winters in Bradenton, Fla., and summer’s in Austin. In 1996, they moved to the Meadows in Worthington. Leonard passed away on Dec. 23, 2003. In November 2003, Marcella became a resident of the South Shore Care Center in Worthington and passed away there on Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010, at the age of 87. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Worthington and a former member of Queen of Angels Church in Austin. Marcella enjoyed painting, sketching and playing bingo.
Survivors include one son, Joseph LeTendre and his wife, Rosemary of Slayton, Minn., five grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Leonard.
Memorial Services will be at St. Ann’s Church in Slayton, Minn., on Sunday, Aug. 22, 2010, at 1 p.m. with Fr. James Seitz officiating. The organist is Judy Andrews. The song leader is Tom Andrews. Interment is at St. Ann’s Cemetery Slayton, Minn.
