Austin Bruins win their first game

The Austin Bruins opened their inaugural season with a 4-3 shootout win against the Fairbanks Ice Dogs in a North American Hockey League Showcase in Blaine, Minn. Wednesday.
The Bruins (1-0 overall) won the game in a shootout when Paul Prescott went upstairs to put it away.
Nick Drill, a native of Madison, Wis., scored the first goal in Bruins history and Trevor Waldoch and Mike Adamowicz also added goals for Austin (1-0 overall).
Walodoch, Tesenky, Charlie Adams, and Jonathan Gehrt all had assists for the Bruins, who led 3-1 in the third period.
Keegan Asmundson had 37 saves in net for the Bruins.
Fairbanks played in the Robertson Cup Finals last season.
