Pacelli Jr. High School held student council elections Wednesday for grades six through eight, choosing nine representatives out of 21 candidates.

Maria Arredondo, Lucy Rodriguez, and Tony Mendez will be the sixth-grade representatives, Braden Kocer, Deng Deng, and Sarah Holtz will be the seventh-grade representatives, and Tiffany Hoesing, Maggie Leif, and Brandon Cotter will be the eighth grade representatives of Pacelli Jr. High’s student council.

Students this year were allowed to work with “campaign managers,” who would help them campaign during the week prior to elections, according to Jeannie Bambarick, Pacelli’s middle school team leader.

In order to remain on student council, students must maintain a 2.5 grade point average and attend every weekly meeting. In addition, seventh and eighth graders can’t fail any classes.
