MINNEAPOLIS — The man steering the Democratic National Committee through a choppy election season is back in Minnesota.
DNC Chairman Tim Kaine planned to spend time Wednesday helping Minnesota Democrats in their get-out-the-vote operations. Kaine, the former Virginia governor, had events scheduled near the University of Minnesota and a public employee union headquarters.
Kaine was in Minnesota in early September and has spoken optimistically about the party’s chances in the state in an otherwise difficult election season.
Minneapolis is also among the finalists to host the 2012 Democratic National Convention, although a decision on that won’t come until after the November election.
