During my years as director of Mower County Corrections, I have come to know Terese Amazi as a quality person and an exceptional sheriff. She has proven herself as a team player who is always willing to cooperate with other departments of the county and city staff. Terese is a gifted public servant who goes about her work professionally and without ego.

Those who have dealt with Sheriff Amazi have surely found her to be fair-minded and respectful. Her availability to the public and cooperative spirit with law enforcement and court personnel are assets to the Mower County Sheriff’s Office and enhance her leadership skills.

As a member of the Austin Area Drug Taskforce, Sheriff Amazi’s leadership helped craft the statewide sudaphedrine law as well as the recently developed prescription drug disposal program. Her experience and guidance continues to give energy to the taskforce.
