Here’s my take on things. If the political parties were cartoons, what would they be? The Republicans would be the Flintstones in the stone age and the Democrats would be the Jetsons looking to the future.

Let’s do what our president asks: When you vote, be sure to do what you do in your car. Choose the D (Democrats) for “drive” to go forward! Don’t put the car in R (Republican) “reverse” to go backward.

Let’s not give the car keys back to the Republicans who drove the economy into the ditch over the Bush years.

Vote for the Democrats to go forward on Nov. 2. Vote for Robin Brown, Dan Sparks, Tim Walz and Mark Dayton.
