ROCHESTER — Democratic U.S. Rep. Tim Walz started October with more than $800,000 in the bank after raising more than $400,000 in the latest quarter.
Walz’s campaign released the numbers after the final 1st District debate in Rochester on Wednesday.
Spokeswoman Sara Severs (SEE’-vurs) says Walz had $814,000 on hand at the end of September after collecting $407,000 in three months from July through September.
The two-term incumbent faces Republican Randy Demmer, Independence Party candidate Steven Wilson and independent Lars Johnson in southern Minnesota’s 1st District. The others have until Friday at midnight to report their fundraising to federal regulators.
