Small fire at Hormel Plant contained

An electrical malfunction in a new air compressor at the Hormel Plant caused a small fire around noon Wednesday.
The Austin Fire Department was called to the plant just before noon and had the fire extinguished in less than an hour.
Fire Chief Mickey Healey said everything was handled with the initial crew sent to the scene, and everything at Hormel was quickly back up and running.
