Dale William Fauske, 52, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, in his home in Austin.

Dale was born on Dec. 10, 1958, in the Saint Paul area. He moved to Rose Creek when he was 13. Dale was a people person all of his life. He was also the kind of guy who had to be active, doing something all of the time. It was difficult for him to sit still, but he did so, patiently, whenever someone he cared for needed him to. Dale was from the “Old School,” and his word was as good as gold. He was never late for anything, and he was as honest as the day is long, and when it came to hard labor, Dale was the first to pick up a shovel, and the last to put it down. Dale met Carol, the love of his life, when she was only 14 years old and he was 17. They had two children, Josh who is graduating from the Marines boot camp on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011, and Asia, who is a very successful young woman employed at Hormel Foods in Austin. Dale loved his kids and talked often about how proud he was of them. Dale had many close friends, from his childhood, from his work and from his neighborhood. Everyone who knew Dale liked him.

Dale has a background in burying telephone cable, he was a human cable locator; just give him a couple of small wires and he could tell you where something was buried. Dale was hired at Hormel in Austin in September of 1994. He worked in the shipping department and is missed by all his fellow workers.

Survivors include Carol Fauske, and daughter; Asia Fauske, son; Josh Fauske, Father-in-law; Robert L.
