The Southland girls basketball team kept up with a fast pace and walked away with a 77-72 win at Dover/Eyota (8-3 overall) Thursday.
The Rebels (9-2 overall) took their first lead of the night with three minutes left.
“It was up and down the whole night since we both play a fast break game, it was intense,” Southland head coach Bob Sheehan said. “The girls really gutted it out, kept their cool and made plays when we needed to.”
Lindsey Bottema scored 15 as she led the Southland press by forcing a few turnovers and getting lay-ups at the other end.
