Athletics get past Grand Meadow boys 70-62

The Lyle/Pacelli boys basketball team used a strong second half effort to beat Grand Meadow (4-17 overall, 4-11 SEC) in Lyle Thursday.
L/P senior Colton Scherer hit a three at the end of the first half to tie the game at 32, and L/P played a solid second half.
“We did a lot better job of running our offense in the second half,” L/P head coach Casey Anderson said.
The Athletics (6-13 overall, 6-8 SEC) were led by sophomore guard David Diang, who had 18 points and sophomore Skylar Meyer finished with 12 points, 13 rebounds, seven steals and five blocks.
