The Austin Bruins saw their four game winning streak come to halt when they lost 3-1 at Alexandria (22-18-5 overall) Friday.
Alexandria’s Nardo Nagtzaam scored on a empty-netter with 12 seconds left in the game to put it away when the Bruins were scrambling.
Keegan Asmundson stopped 33 of the 35 shots he saw in net for the Bruins (18-24-3 overall).
The loss slides the fourth place Bruins 10 points behind the third place Chill.
