The Grand Meadow boys basketball team lost 59-41 to Mabel/Canton in GM Friday.

GM (4-15 overall, 4-10 SEC) trailed 33-18 at the half.

Caleb Leichtnam had 25 points and 14 rebounds for GM.

“We knew we were going to need to stop their inside game if we were going to be able to compete with them,” GM head coach Chad Burmester said. “Defensively we needed to do a better job of building a wall around their big guy and collapsing down on him to make him kick out.”
