David Heil, 56, of Owatonna, died Sunday, March 20, 2011, at Homestead Hospice House.
David John Raymond Heil was born May 26, 1954, in Albert Lea, the son of Ronald and Betty (Gold) Heil. He moved with his family to Owatonna in 1956 and here he was raised and attended school graduating from Owatonna High School in 1972. He moved to Salina, Kan., where he worked construction and returned to Owatonna in 1976. He began working for DeRose Manufacturing and for Heil Well Service until 1990. Dave was united in marriage to Pamela Williamson Henriksen on June 16, 1990, in Owatonna. They made their home in Owatonna. In 1993, Dave worked for Fabricated Wood Products in Owatonna. Pam died Nov. 22, 2010.
Dave enjoyed playing music. He played many different instruments from the slide guitar to the cello, banjo to the fiddle, recording some of his own music. He enjoyed blue grass music and music from the 70s. Growing up, Dave did some hunting, fishing and enjoyed playing golf. He liked to play cribbage and being outdoors.
He is survived by a stepson, Tim (and Molly) Henriksen of Owatonna and their two children: J.T. and Ella; stepdaughter, Renee Henriksen of Breezy Point; two brothers: Ron (and Lesley) Heil of Roseville; Jeff (and Roseann) Heil of Claremont; his mother, Betty Morrison of Owatonna; mother-in-law, Lorene Williamson of Blooming Prairie; and many nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service in the church. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Julie Malone officiating. Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Owatonna. Memorials preferred to Homestead Hospice or donor’s choice.
