A 19-year-old Austin man was robbed at gunpoint around 12:20 a.m. Monday morning.
The man told police he was walking down the 1000 block of Third Avenue Northeast when an old black Dodge car pulled up. The passenger allegedly asked him to approach the car; when he did, the passenger pointed a gun at him and told him to hand over his wallet.
Police Chief Brian Krueger said the man described the suspects as two Hispanic males, one of whom was potentially in his 30s and is heavy set. The man with the gun was wearing a zip-up hooded sweatshirt.
Police currently have no suspects and have handed over the case to the Department of Investigation.
