The Austin/Albert Lea March for Babies would like to thank the Austin Bruins for helping us kick off the 2011 season.

A big thank you also goes to all the media coverage we received for the kickoff from TV, radio and newspapers!

On Friday Feb. 18, the Austin Bruins generously let us invite the team captains to go to the Austin Riverside Arena to pick up their team packets along with last year’s awards. In the team packets, the Bruins gave each team captain a ticket to the game. Also in attendance were several past ambassador family members, whom also got tickets to the game.

Along with the tickets, the Bruins made a monetary donation and signed a walk team of their own up. We were able to start our 2011 walk season out with a wonderful spirit of team togetherness.
