MINNEAPOLIS — The FBI says a bank robber and his accomplice left a messy trail of wrecked cars and bloody evidence, but are still on the run.
One of the two men demanded cash from a teller at a Minneapolis TCF branch Monday, but wasn’t satisfied with what he got, so he demanded more. The teller said he didn’t have any more and the robber tried spraying him with a can of Mace, but the trigger failed.
Authorities say the robber and accomplice tried to flee in their stolen car, but hit a BMW and several parked vehicles. Two people in the BMW were hurt. The two abandoned the stolen car, leaving behind money and a baseball cap. The Star Tribune says the bleeding robber and accomplice then carjacked a vehicle after struggling with its owner who was warming up the car. The FBI says the suspects are still at large.
