Rivers could remain fairly high for a few more days, as the National Weather Service predicts more rain throughout tomorrow.

Turtle Creek, which is currently 10.9 feet at its highest point, could see upwards of 12-foot crests between Tuesday and Wednesday, according to Rod Donavon, meteorologist for the NWS in Des Moines.

Austin has a 90 percent chance of precipitation tomorrow afternoon into the evening, which could bring anywhere from .5 to .75 inches of rain. If Austin gets .75 inches or more, the rivers could go up a little more.

Although NWS only forecasts precise precipitation totals 24 hours in advance, Austin could be looking at thunderstorms this weekend, too.

However, with nearly all the snow gone, rivers should subside later in the week, according to Donavon.

Portions of Minnesota could also see a shot of snow Wednesday; however, there looks to be no significant accumulation.

The National Weather Service forecasts about a tenth of an inch of snow or less.
