Virginia Thorshiem Gill passed away peacefully in her sleep at Vicar’s Landing, Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, on March 29, 2011.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Robert M. Gill; a son, Bruce Brandon Gill of Atlanta; two grandsons, Brandon (Heather), and Peter Gill, a grand-stepdaughter, Jade Rosdahl, the apple of her eye great-grandson Dominik Gill; two brothers, Dennis Thorshiem of Honolulu, Hawaii and Duane (Sue) Thorshiem of Philipsburg, Mont.
Her son, Stephen Lewis Gill predeceased her.
Virginia’s family wishes to express its heartfelt thanks to all the community of Vicker’s, Hospice of NE Florida, Suzanne Tomlinson and Pam Granite and other friends who have cared for her and reached out through this difficult time. Her immediate family will gather at a time and place yet to be determined for a private memorial service for a celebration of her life to be conducted by the Rev. Dr. Carol DiGiusto of Palms Presbyterian Church.
In lieu of flowers it is suggested notes to the family or contributions to a charity of choice be considered.
