Blossoms win fourth straight game

The Blooming Prairie softball team won its third game of the year by 10 runs or more when it topped Triton (2-2 overall) 13-2 in five innings in BP Monday.

The Awesome Blosssoms (4-0 overall, 4-0 Gopher) put up eight runs in the first inning and sophomore Shelbi Swenson hit her first career homerun over the center field fence in the fourth inning.

BP’s first three hitters, Tricia DeBoer, Erica Manske and Tayla Jones, combined to go nine-for-nine.

“We hit the ball well early, then they changed pitchers and it took us a little while to adjust,” BP head coach Ali Mach said.
