A 41-year-old Austin man is awaiting charges after being arrested for DWI and allegedly peeping in people’s windows early Wednesday morning.

Police received a call Wednesday around 6 a.m. indicating that a man was looking in windows near the 600 block of 12th Avenue SW. When officers arrived, they saw a car matching the caller’s description leaving the area.

Police Chief Brian Krueger said the man was pulled over in the 1300 block of Sixth Street SW. His blood alcohol content was over the legal limit. When officers asked if he had a camera on him, he said no. However, a camera containing videos of people changing clothes and exercising was found in his jacket pocket, Krueger said.
