Richard Burch, the ex-Southgate staffer who has been accused of molesting two students, has been arrested by Austin police.

Burch, 54, faces several criminal charges surrounding the molestation allegations. He was charged in a case involving a 16-year-old girl on April 11, but he was wanted on a warrant at the time.

Police Chief Brian Krueger said Wednesday that Burch was arrested without incident. Krueger was unable to comment on why Burch was arrested nine days after being charged.

He is scheduled to appear in court again on April 28.
