The Southland boys golf team fell to Rushford/Peterson 182-196 in Adams Tuesday.

Southland’s Matt Beitbarth was co-medlist with a score of 43 and Tyler Bergene added a 46.

“Not too bad for our first match,” Southland head coach Tim Brennan said. “The back end of the team will need to step it up a bit, but it’s early. I thought Tyler played decently, and Matt’s score will lower with improving conditions. We’ll be all right down the line.”
