BLAINE, Minn. (AP) — The Minnesota State Patrol says a person was struck by a semi and killed while walking along the interstate in a Twin Cities suburb.

The patrol says the pedestrian was hit while walking along the northbound side of Interstate 35W in Blaine late Tuesday night. Investigators say the semi was northbound on 35W when it hit the person walking near the right line about 11 p.m.

KSTP-TV (http://bit.ly/mBYoST ) says it’s not known why the person was on the interstate.
