The Austin baseball team had trouble with Albert Lea’s ace in a 7-1 loss to the Tigers (15-5 overall) at Dick Seltz Field Tuesday.
AL senior Aaron Klatt held the Packers (3-15 overall, 2-14 Big Nine) to just three hits on the day.
“He’s one of the top pitchers in the conference and he pretty much shut us down,” Austin head coach Troy Watkins said. “We couldn’t get much going.”
Anthony Condit, Gabe Kasak and Andrew Kaiser all singled for Austin and Quinn Yocom took the loss on the mound.
