Joseph L. Schimek, 72, of Mankato, formerly of Easton, died Saturday, June 25, 2011 at his home in Mankato, surrounded by his family. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Easton. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells, with a Rosary at 8 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to mass at the church on Wednesday.
