CENTER CITY, Minn. (AP) — Chisago County authorities say a motorist crossed a center line and slammed head-on into a van, killing a father and two children and injuring two people.
Deputies say a van driven by 68-year-old Eileen Patricia Ohara of Marine on St. Croix crossed the center line Friday about 6 p.m.
Her vehicle smashed into a van driven by 52-year-old Bart Isaac Hazlett of St. Anthony. Hazlett was killed, along with two of his children, 11-year-old Olivia Ray Hazlett and 9-year-old Roan Huy Hazlett.
A third child, 15-year-old Zoe Felix Hazlett, was taken to a hospital. Her condition was not immediately available Saturday.
Ohara was airlifted to a hospital, where she was in serious condition.
The sheriff’s office says any criminal charges will be determined after an investigation is completed.
