Police arrested a 30-year-old Austin man Wednesday night after he allegedly threatened to hurt a woman and her children.
Police Chief Brian Krueger said Cory Gunsallus allegedly called the woman while she was at work and began threatening to harm her and her children. Two of the woman’s co-workers heard the threats when the woman put her phone on speaker, Krueger said.
About four hours after the first phone call, Gunsallus allegedly drove through the parking lot of the woman’s work place and did a burnout in his vehicle near the woman’s car.
The woman was concerned for her safety and called police. They were unable to locate Gunsallus until after 11 p.m., when he was spotted walking down the 400 block of Main Street South.
Gunsallus is being held in the Mower County jail until formal charges are pressed, Krueger said.
