Riverside Concerts celebrating 20 years

Rochester’s Riverside Concerts are set to celebrate the series’ 20th anniversary in style and with big names.
“It being the 20th anniversary, we’ve tried to pull out all the stops,” said Christ Alcott, assistant general manager.
The series will run seven Sunday nights from July 10 through Aug. 21 featuring Collective Soul, Uriah Heah, Paul Revere & the Raiders, Dokken, Frankie Ballard, Corey Stevens and the Rochester Concert Band and Choir.
But in honor of the anniversary, Alcott said more shows will consist of nationally known acts.
Despite what promises to be an exciting summer in Rochester, the anniversary is not likely to start a precedent for the future.
“It’s not something that we would do every year,” Alcott said.
In coming years t—hey’ll still have the big finale with a few known names here and there.
The Thursday On First and Third series will feature performers like The Paul McKenna Band, Guy Mendilow Band and Los Texmaniacs.
