Supporting those who serve

Published 5:00 pm Saturday, June 18, 2011

We have all been touched by someone that has served to defend this great country.

It may have been your grandparent, father, mother, spouse or friend. To honor those serving or have gone before us the Senior Center is selling personalized Independence Day flags.

We will be displaying them at the center now until June 29 at 11:30 a.m. Then we will honor and remember those who have given their lives in service to protect our exceptional nation at a program during lunch.

As we pay tribute to the brave men and women who have died for our freedom, we also honor those defending our liberties around the world today. For more than two centuries, Americans have been called to defend the founding ideals of our democracy.

On June 29, we will remember the proud patriots who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of liberty’s blessings.

Everyone that purchases a memorial will be invited to lunch June 29. At that time you will be presented with your flag.

Purchase your flags at the Senior Center Monday through Friday. Small flags are $10 and large flags are $20. Remember those who are serving and those who have gone before us.
