Travel slate full for the summer

The first days of summer have arrived, and our calendars all filling up with fun and special events.
As events fill up we try to keep in touch with you a couple times a month to let you know what’s happening and where our travels are taking us next in an effort to make sure more of you can join us.
We have two more trips to see our Minnesota Twins play this season. The first is Wednesday when the Twins take on the Los Angeles Dodgers in a 12:10 p.m. matinee. Our next game will be Aug. 25 when the Twins play the Baltimore Orioles for another 12:10 p.m. matinee. We will depart both days at 9 a.m.
On July 14 we will leave for our annual Mystery Trip. Clue number one is “Something old, something new, somewhere close, it may be Blue.” Fee is due by Thursday. Departure time is 1:30 p.m.
July 27 is our trip to the Chanhassen Dinner Theatre for “Jesus Christ Super Star.” The play is the powerful and passionate story of Christ’s last seven days of life.
Fee is due by Tuesday and a few seats are still available
On Aug. 16 we will be visiting the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum located near Chaska. It includes a tram ride, lunch in a “take-home” flower pot and time to walk through the beautiful flowers settings. Special stops will follow.
Sept. 6-17 is our fall extended motorcoach trip traveling one day by Amtrack as we continue on our journey to some of the most scenic sites anywhere.
Departing from Austin our tour will include: North Dakota, Whitefish, Mon., Moses Lake, Wash., Coeur d’ Alene, in Portland, Ore., at magnificent Multnomah Falls and the Bonneville Dam.
We will make a stop at Gold Beach, Ore. and the International Test Gardens, Redwoods National Park in California, Fisherman’s Wharf, Salt Lake City Temple Square, Wyoming, Mount Rushmore in South Dakota, and we will end with a chuck wagon dinner and show.
