Marvel Arnold Hansen, Vietnam-era Veteran, 69, long-time resident of Albert Lea, passed away in Foley, Ala., on July 9, 2011.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Lee; father, Julius Hansen; son, Chris (Annette); daughters: Karen (Tim) Johnson and Candy Fox; brothers: Theodore Moe, Phillip (Jeannie) Hanse and David (Lee) Hansen; and sister, LaVonne Thro; stepson, James Linehan; Seven grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two brothers-in-law: Danny (Ann) Bartholomew and James (Julie) Bartholomew; mother-in-law, Opal Petersen; many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his mother, Harriet Hansen; infant grandson and brother, Norbert Moe.

Service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Oakland Lutheran Church at 22042 850th Ave., Albert Lea, 56007.

Marv had a cherished pomeranian named “Little Bear” who was at his bedside every night.
