Austin Utilities has issued a Peak Alert for Wednesday.

“Austin Utilities is experiencing an electric peak. Please help reduce the peak and control costs by adjusting your thermostat to 80 degrees and turning off any unnecessary or unused electrical equipment. Please assist in keeping costs and demand low by reducing your electrical usage until after 8:00 p.m. Controlling the electric peak saves money for the entire community,” an e-mail from an Austin Utilities representative said.
