The Jay C. Hormel Nature Center has plenty going on this summer, and next week it’s about bridging outdoors and technology.
On Monday, July 25, the Jay C. Hormel Nature Center will be conducting a “Digital Photography-Bridge to Nature” teacher workshop. The workshop will show teachers how to use digital cameras and how to take students on outdoor photo safaris with resulting photos that can be incorporated into existing classes in science, math, art, language arts, geography, engineering, journaling and environmental education. This workshop will help teachers meet their state learning standards and receive continuing education credits.
This workshop is run by state employees from the Department of Natural Resources. The class is scheduled from 8 a.m. until noon. For more information, please contact the Nature Center at 507-437-7519 or at jchnatur@smig.net.
