Robert L. Dibble, 94, of Austin, died at Comforcare Good Samaritan Center on Saturday, July 2, 2011.

Robert Leon Dibble was born June 16, 1917, in Austin, the son of Ralph and Hazel (Wyant) Dibble. At age 2, he moved with his parents to a farm north of Austin. He attended Ramsey and Lansing schools and graduated from Austin High School in 1936. His marriage to Lois Rinner took place July 5, 1944, in Austin.

Robert farmed with his dad and for a number of years did custom work of silo filling and corn picking for other farmers. He enjoyed traveling and playing cribbage and 500. He was a member of the Lansing United Methodist Church.

Robert is survived by his wife Lois Dibble, Austin; son and daughter-in-law, Leon D. and Elaine Dibble of Owatonna; two grandsons, Keith (Raquel) Dibble of Towner, N.D. and Timothy Dibble of Chicago, Ill.; three great-grandchildren, Robert Dibble, Austin Dibble and Ashlyn Dibble.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 7, at the Lansing United Methodist Church with the Rev. Leland Bissinger officiating. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary on Wednesday and at the church on Thursday for one hour before the service. Honorary bearers are Timothy Dibble, Keith Dibble and Dennis Nelson. Casket bearers will be Brian Stemson, Morris Klouse, Floyd Hansen, Kenneth Dalager, Harold Boverhuis, and Steven Garbisch.
