Funeral services for Vivian Ann Hanson, 82, of Albert Lea will be held 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at Grace Lutheran Church. Rev. Todd Walsh will officiate. Interment will be at Shady Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 11 at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church. Vivian died Thursday, July 7, at Thorne Crest Retirement Center.

Vivian Ann Hanson was born on April 26, 1929, to Edward and Anne (Motl) Prusha in Blooming Prairie. She grew up in rural Blooming Prairie and attended Blooming Prairie schools. On Oct. 23, 1954, Vivian was united in marriage to Raymond C. Hanson in Owatonna. The couple resided in the Albert Lea area and Vivian worked at Land O Lakes and Swift Eckrich. She was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church and also the Albert Lea Senior Citizens. Vivian enjoyed rummage sales, gardening, canning, cooking, baking, sewing and reading. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her husband, Raymond C. Hanson of Albert Lea; children, Kenny (Kris) Hanson, Robert “Bob” (Laural) Hanson, Douglas Hanson and Ann Hanson and Dean Huffman; grandchildren, Adam (Nicole) Hanson, Brady Hanson, April (James) Danielson, Jasmine Hanson, Robert James Hanson, Carl Hanson, Amanda Hanson, Amber Hanson, Ashley Hanson; brother-in-law, Byron (Janet) Hanson; sisters-in-law, Mavis (Gene) Parrish, Catherine (Wayne) Yule and Iris (Joe) Donkers; several nieces and nephews.

Vivian was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Angel Hanson; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Anna and Carl Hanson; sister-in-law, Lavonne Hanson; brothers-in-law, Gordon Hanson and Jerry Jierle.
