Show us the money, honey.
The Tim Walz for U.S. Congress campaign raised $380,346 in the second quarter of 2011, according to Finance Assistant Trevor Vaubel. The second quarter ended July 1, and Walz’s totals were released Friday afternoon.
The fundraising numbers for 2011 are more than double what the campaign raised at this point in 2009, according to Vaubel. Walz’s campaign has $397,557 cash on hand.
“Our grassroots, people powered campaign is in a strong position to win in 2012,” a Walz campaign statement said. “Our supporters continue to be engaged, energized and generous, giving us the resources we need to stand up for our shared values.”
