MANKATO — Mankato police have arrested a 19-year-old man in the death of a young woman found with multiple stab wounds.

Police were initially unable to identify her after finding her at a Mankato intersection. According to a city of Mankato news release, police later received a call from a woman who was concerned about her roommate after she had not gone to work and was not heard from.

A Golden Valley man was later identified as a suspect and was arrested for second-degree intentional murder.

More information is expected to be released at a Saturday afternoon news conference.
